This is your first stop, and it’s free—just scan your ticket to enter!
With shows happening multiple times a day, we lined up for the first performance just after 9:00 AM.
The doors opened just before 9:15, and we scored front-row seats right in the center—what a view!

2. Enjoy the Spectacular Show!

The Martial Arts performance was fantastic and even better than I imagined!
It began with a calligraphy and painting sale, followed by the main event.

I am planing to visit Shanghai .I would like to visit luoyang caves and shaolin temple . Which is the best place to stay for a night or two for this and where to make my base for exploring the place.I am looking for budget friendly options

    • Ricky

For visiting the Luoyang Caves (Longmen Grottoes) and the Shaolin Temple, a good base would be Luoyang city itself, as it’s the most convenient and budget-friendly option for exploring both sites.

      1. Luoyang:
Luoyang is a great base to stay for a night or two because it’s close to both the Longmen Grottoes and the Shaolin Temple.

      Accommodation:
Look for budget hotels or guesthouses around the Luoyang Train Station or in the city center. These areas are affordable and have easy access to public transport. Here are a couple of budget-friendly options:

Luoyang Jianxi Hotel: Budget-friendly and well-located.
Luoyang Xindian Inn: Simple, clean, and very affordable.

      Transportation:
To get to Longmen Grottoes, you can take a taxi or public bus from the city center (around 30 minutes).
For the Shaolin Temple, it’s a bit further out (about 1.5-2 hours by taxi or bus from Luoyang), so you might consider booking a day tour from Luoyang, which will be more convenient and often more affordable than private transport.

      2. Other Nearby Cities:
If you prefer, you could also stay in Dengfeng, which is closer to the Shaolin Temple. However, it’s a smaller town with fewer accommodation options and less variety in terms of things to do in the evenings, so Luoyang remains the better base for your trip.
